Paver Monitoring Technology
eTec paver monitoring technology is designed to remove the requirement to have materials technicians taking asphalt delivery temperatures using a conventional temperature probe. Testing with probes is dangerous as it involves interaction with hot material and site traffic, and potentially inaccurate as it relies on spot check data rather than continuous measurement.
eTec uses two infra-red temperature sensors which point at the paver augurs and which continuously measure the temperature of material as it moves through the machine. This provides a constant temperature reading for site operatives to ensure that they are laying at the correct temperature. As material has been pulled through the paver flights and mixed by the augurs, a more representative temperature is achieved.
Integrated 1m accurate GPS provides paver tracking capabilities to ensure a proper record of material deposition can be created. This is of particular use for tracking high value stone for recycling and enables all data to be included in geographic information systems (GIS) and pavement management systems (PMS).

- High-accuracy, safer, method of taking asphalt delivery temperatures
- Constant data capture for real-time quality assurance
- GPS-referenced data for use in asset management
- Cost effective - no technicians required
